Project Brief
Huangyan Gymnasium locates in Huangyan District, Taizhou, Zhejiang. Since its opening in 1998, it has served as a key representative of district-level public sports facilities, with over 2,500 spectator seats. From February to May 2026, the venue underwent a comprehensive renovation with a total investment exceeding 25 million yuan. Upon completion, Huangyan Gymnasium will transform into a comprehensive sports facility integrating professional event hosting, public fitness services, and commercial amenities, significantly enhancing citizens' workout experiences while effectively revitalizing urban cultural and sports vitality.
Core Requirements for Gymnasium Sound Reinforcement
In the renovation project of the sports arena, the sound reinforcement system faces the rigorous test of "large space, complex acoustic environment, and multi scene switching". The building structure is tall and spacious, with long reverberation time and few sound-absorbing materials, making it prone to echo and uneven sound field; At the same time, the venue needs to cater to various scenarios such as professional competitions, mass fitness, and event performances, placing extremely high demands on the flexibility, coverage uniformity, and sound quality of the sound reinforcement system. To this end, the technical team of Lingjie Enterprise has tailored an efficient, flexible, and fully covered sound reinforcement solution for Huangyan Gymnasium. In response to the practical conditions of high space, long reverberation, and limited load-bearing capacity of the basketball court, the design concept of "zone coverage, clear primary and secondary, and flexible switching" has been established to ensure that every participant in the venue - whether it is the audience in the stands or the athletes and staff in the center of the venue - can obtain a clear, accurate, and immersive sound experience.
System Configuration and Product Layout
In the core competition area of the sports arena, the main expansion system adopts two sets of 6+2" configurations, each set consisting of TX-20 dual 10- inch line array speaker and TX-20B single 18- inch subwoofer.
Two sets of line arrays are suspended above the center of the main venue. By adjusting the sound beam fan surface in an arc shape and utilizing the cylindrical wave propagation characteristics of the line array speakers, the attenuation of sound in the air and the reflection interference from the building interface are effectively reduced, achieving precise coverage of the entire audience area and providing strong and evenly distributed sound field energy.
In response to the layered coverage requirements of the grandstand audience, a “multi-point distributed sound reinforcement” scheme is adopted, with a total of 12 sets of 2+1" configurations suspended, each set consisting of TX-20 dual 10- inch line array speakers and TX-20B single 18- inch subwoofer.
This layout ensures consistent sound pressure levels from the front row to the back row, providing viewers with a clear and balanced auditory experience, effectively avoiding the problem of “high sound pressure in the front row and blurry sound in the back row” in traditional venues.
Build a Professional Sound Reinforcement System
The entire sound reinforcement system is driven by TRS electronic peripheral equipment and adopts the dual advantages of centralized main amplification and distributed supplementary sound. The system ensures dynamic sound energy in the competition area and seamless coverage of the grandstand area through precise sound beam control and flexible scene switching capability. In the context of language broadcasting, the system can accurately restore the details of vocal frequency bands, ensuring that instructions and broadcast content are clear and distinguishable; In large dynamic scenes such as cultural performances, it can confidently carry the impact of low frequencies and the extension of high frequencies, achieving full playback of all frequency bands and fully adapting to the acoustic needs of multiple scenes. Finally, the system delivers efficient, clear, and uniform sound performance, truly capturing the heart with its "sound" and providing a solid sound reinforcement guarantee for the revitalization of Huangyan Sports Center.
